Ben and Ann Gregory have been running this company for 40 years. Ben’s vision and skill set combined with Ann’s business sense has made Rolling Chassis Co.LLC what it is today.

Here’s how it started…

Ben has been building cars since he was 13 years old, having completed four by the time he was 16. A 1949 Ford Pickup Truck, a 1963 Pontiac Catalina, a 1962 Chevy Impala, and a 1960 Chevy Impala. The first car he ever bought (at 16 years old) was a 1964 Chevy Impala SS. Ben began racing at the track with a 1970 Charger R/T SE 440 with a 4-speed before building a 1957 Chevy 327 with two 4’s and a 4-speed to race with.

Ben continued building cars on the side while running a business for many years, where he met Ann in 1983. With his customer waitlist growing, Ben bought a property in Bernhards Bay. It had a two-car garage with only 40 amps of power, no insulation, and no heat. They immediately got to work adding another bay, power, insulation, and a furnace.

As business continued to grow, so did the shop. By 2001, they had a second level to the shop, an addition to the front for offices, and a 40 x 60 storage building in the back. Expanding continued to where we are now, with a machine shop, a fabrication shop, a welding shop, an upholstery shop, a paint shop, show room, offices, lunch room, two bathrooms, four car storage units, and a two-story barn.
